Our cover girl now is Yessy Gozal who prefers to be called Yessy. She lives at Samarinda. Now she studies in SMK NEGERI 1 Samarinda and accountant is her mayor. She fond of English so much. As a student she wants to express her message, that “All beginning is difficult to err is human”.

That’s why please don’t give up practicing your English. If you want to improve it. When you are failing, believe that it is the key to reach your beautiful dream.

In this edition, she would like to give her impression about our PROSPECT. Observe the following: In my mind, this bulletin is very good for the students in this school or others. Why is it so? because the information and language used is understandable. And from this bulletin we all can learn everything about English, like reading answering the question in English and try to understand what the meaning of English word is, and then we all can get knowledge from outside like a information about everything such as globalization or others, so, from this, all of us can know and choose easily what we must do for our life to be success.

This is the special edition of PROSPECT. It is pointed to the new students of SMKN 1 Samarinda. That’s why, PROSPECT would like to express, “Welcome to SMKN 1 Samarinda, to those who are accepted to be the students of SMKN 1 Samarinda”. Remem- ber! There are many persons who struggle to get a chair in this school, but not all can be accepted. Hence, congratulation for you, as the lucky persons.

By being the new student of this school, means you are going to face the new tasks. You have to the way prepare yourself very well to study here, because, basically of studying here is nearly different wish the one you have done before. In this case, you should be able to use all of your spare time to develop yourself by doing everything, which can support your study. Don’t waste your time for doing the useless thing which can loose your chance to reach your dream. You should know that it’s too hard for your to be promoted in school, moreover to pass the national final test. Oncemore, it’s too hard, that’s why when you put your first step in this school, you should say to yourself that “No time for others except learning”.

Healthy life is longing for every one. No one in the world wants to get sick. The slogan “better prevent to remeady” become very important for doing. One from another method for prevent illnes are with vegetarianisme. Vegetarianisme is method to try not eat meat and part of body the animals and huss consem the food for plants. The expert already find the important think from plantas as food. From nutritions case the total contents at the palnts can sufficient all of body necessary from five primary nutrition for body. They are : carboyidrate, grease, protein, and minerals. All of the nutritions can find at the plants.

Vegetarianism is healthy life style in 21 century. This life style not only apply in Indonesia, but also aplly in the world. For example : there are vegetarianism organization in the world, IVU (International Vegetarian Union) an 1908. In Indonesia we have KVMI (Keluarga Vegetarian Maitreya Indonesia). Vegetarian days commemorate every year on October 1. So, with vegetarianism can make our self more healthy. If we have a good health, our spirit will feel happy.

TOOTH CARE

ood dental hygiene is essential to keeping your teeth for lifetime. It is important for children to start young with good dental habits. Proper hygiene should include:

· Daily flossing and twice-daily brushing of the teeth

· Use of fluoride tootpaste

· Regular dental checkups

· Limiting sugar intake

· Using a tootbrush with soft bristels (replace the tootbrush with a new one as soon as as the bristle became bent)

· Having the dentist instruct you on proper brushing and flossing techniques

· Being aware that “tartar-controlled” tootpaste have little or no effect on tartar below the gum line and, therefore, will not provide a safe guard againts gum disease.

SHORT STORY

LIFE MUST GO ON

is story is tells us about: A young girl, she is 16 years old now. She is a lonely girl, even she has many friends, all her friends love her. But this girl just likes another girl, she wants to have a true love too. She is very kind, sweet, energic and sometimes she likes angry …!. But that just at school, at home, she can’t do anything, she doesn,t have friends at home, so …, she just stays alone in her badroom. OK…!. The name of this girl is Yasmine, we can call her Yessi. Two years ago, she ever loved someone, but that boy was died, because he had drunk of ‘marijuana’. Actually Agung (the name of that boy) loved Yessi too, but Yessi didn’t know about that. Yessi cried alone in the dark, she always remember the time when Agung is singing, laughing, and bothering other people. Agung can make Yessi feel happy, sad, worry and etc. You know that I love you Gung?, but you always make me upset with your smile, talk, and everything yours done to me, but you always make me think of you, me too, but now…?. Who will make me feels like that again, Gung!!. I always miss you and remember you gung!. Because I love yuu. And then Yessi takes a letter, that letter is from Agung, Agung’s friends gave that letter a day before Agung’s death. The contents of thet letter is :

Hi Yessi, I hope you still like me. I know you hope me to stop using that drugs!. I tried Yessi, when I wrote this letter I ful so cold, because I’m still in try!. I want to change my life for you. You know Yess, when I write this letter I feel so cold, because I’m still in try!. I want to change my life for you. You know Yess? Maybe as long as this time you think I just play your heart,

if I never want to talk with you because I don’t want you to be like me and my area!. You are my motivation to change my life. I love you Yess, and I hope you’ll get a better boy than me.

Agung Sri Kapoor Barush

Yessi just crying, and then she says: “You are the first and the last to me Gung, noone can change your position in my heart”.

Two years later, situation in vocational high school. Yessi never changes, she still sweet, energic, and she still loves Agung. At school, many boys want to be her boyfriend, but she doesn’t want to have special relationship with another boys except Agung. There is a boy who always care of her as if he falls in love her, the name of that boy is Indra. He is a nice guy and his love to Yessi is honest.

In the Canteen. Yessi and her friends sit and drink some ice tea, because the canteen is very-very full (except beside Yessi’s chair) and Indra said : “may I sit here, girl?”.

Yessi : “yes, please sit down!”.

Indra : “thank you”. And then he asked : “are you Yasmine, who’s smart in English?”

Yessi : “No, I’m not very smart, just usuall, and call me just Yessi, please!”

just want you to open your heart to another boys, because the man who’s standing in front of you now is loving you!!. Yo know that? I love you!!

Yessi : (Shock) …, no, you lie to me.., you don’t love me, you just feel pity to me …

Indra : Give me the reason …, why I must feel pity to you, I know you are a strong girl, and I’m sure you don’t need any pity. You should know, this love is pure, real and so deep.

Yessi : But …

Indra : Sssst.., now I ask you, do you want to be my girlfriend?. I know it’s hard for you, but please give me a chance to show you how deep I love you

And then Yessy smiles, she comes to Indra and they hug each other very tight. They are ready to pass everything in front of them with smile and love (*).

THE NUMBER ONE LAUNDRY

With angry feeling, one madam came to the number one laundry. She wants to meet the owner of that laundry.

“Help?” asks that madam with a high voice, before you help me, helping yourself first. How brave you are until you can say that this laundry “The Number One Laundry”. And then she veers sharply something on the table. “Can you see your job result?” The owner take and sees that thing accurately, and then she says “Exuse me madam, but I guess there’s nothing wrong from this towel”.

“Towel?” answers that madam, when I bring this thing to here for washing is a blanket not a towel!.
